AI in Parking & Transportation

January 20, 2023

What can someone say about parking or transportation that is well-written, interesting, informative, and would start a conversation? That’s when during a staff meeting about a ChatGTP, an AI platform that can write articles, answer questions, and admit errors, gave me an idea! A prompt to “write a 300-word article describing how AI is used in the parking industry” created a new article almost instantly. Many of the smart parking systems made possible or better through AI were mentioned – predictive parking availability, license plate recognition systems, analytics, customer service chatbots, etc.  The AI-generated article concluded that AI made parking “more efficient, convenient, and cost effective for both drivers and operators”.   AI has done all of these things, but AI is still just a tool, albeit an incredibly powerful one. It still requires a person to wield it. How will the advances in parking made possible through AI help you improve the customer’s experience? How will it make your staff’s job more efficient, rewarding, and better?

P.S. While AI inspired the topic, this post was written by me, a human.
