Time is Free but it’s Priceless

Time is free, but it’s priceless.  The same amount can be used well or poorly and there is seemingly never enough of it…I’m starting off my first MSTPA blog about time because I’m late!

Serving on the Board for the Parking & Transportation Association of Georgia (PTAG) for more than 10 years, I’m very excited to now be a part of the Mid-South Transportation & Parking Association (MSTPA).  Our organizations have existed as peers for many years, sharing a mutual admiration and respect from afar and on occasion, discussing what a union might look like.  It has finally happened and getting to where we stand today has taken the vision, hard work and courage of all involved.

The merger of our organizations brings together diverse experiences and adds tremendous value to current and future members.  The overall roster has grown but we’re still small enough for intimate and meaningful gatherings, the board and leadership have clear goals and includes representation from both organizations, the mission of providing professional growth, development, and interaction among those involved in transportation and parking perfectly aligns. Perhaps most importantly for some, where there were once two conferences over two weeks there is now one conference over one week providing the same knowledge and value but giving back something of immense value…time!
