Steve Hernandez is a 23-year parking industry veteran and joined The Car Park in November 2021 as Vice President of Governmental & Institutional Services. At The Car Park, Steve utilizes his operational background to assist cities across the country to improve their program's policies and consumer parking experience.

Prior to The Car Park, Steve served as the Senior Vice President of Municipal Services for Reef Parking and as the Vice President of Parking, North America at Parkopedia. At Parkopedia, Steve worked closely with municipalities, parking operators and complementary technology partners to help facilitate a seamless parking experience within connected automobiles. 

Steve has served on the MSTPA Board since March 2016 and took over as the Association’s Treasurer in 2018.  During his tenure, he has played an instrumental role in growing the Association and helped maintain the MSTPA’s strong financial footing.  He is an active International Parking & Mobility Institute member and  previously served on numerous IPMI committees including as a co-chair for the Conference Program Task Force. Steve earned his CAPP in 2012 and in 2019 Steve was selected as a member of the National Parking Association’s 40 Under 40 award recipients.
