Mitch Skyer, Director

Mitch Skyer has been in the transit and parking industry since 2002. After founding Solstice Transportation Group in 2007 and co-founding Passio Technologies in 2010, he has served continually as president of both organizations. In 2020 Passio joined forces with Knoxville based Transit Technologies, where he serves as President and Managing Director of Passio Technologies. In addition to his work at Passio, in early 2021 Mitch took on the added position of President and Managing Director of Passio’s sister company, Virginia Beach based Faster Asset Solutions. Passio and Faster work with universities, corporations, and municipalities to provide intelligent transportation and fleet management technologies to public and private operations. 

 Mitch actively participates in regional and national trade associations, often presenting on industry trends and serving on consultant panels. Mitch graduated from Binghamton University and earned an MBA from the University at Buffalo. The Skyer family has lived in suburban Atlanta for more than 20 years. Mitch has been a member of IPI since 2004 and has served on the boards of directors for the Parking Association of Georgia, Mid-South Parking and Transit Association and the Georgia Transit Association.  He’s been a long-time member of MSTPA and has attended, exhibited, and/or presented at all of the annual conferences since joining. The MSTPA has been a wealth of resources for networking and education and brings great value with its regional approach to bringing industry professionals together.
