Mitch Skyer has been in the transit and parking industry since 2002. He has served as President of Atlanta based sister companies, Solstice Transportation Group and Passio Technologies since 2007 and 2010 respectively. Solstice and Passio work with universities, corporations, and municipalities to provide technology and consulting to transportation and parking operations. Mitch actively participates in regional and national trade associations, often presenting on industry trends and serving on consultant panels. Mitch graduated from Binghamton University and earned an MBA from the University at Buffalo. The Skyer family has lived in suburban Atlanta for more than 20 years.
I’ve been a member of IPI since 2004, and have served on the board of the Parking Association of Georgia as both a trustee and treasurer. I currently serve on IPI’s Parking Research Committee. I’m a long time member of MSTPA and have attended, exhibited, and/or presented at nearly all of the annual conferences since joining. I enjoy participating in the organization. It is well run, great for networking and education, and I firmly believe that the regional approach is the best structure. I’d like to help the organization continue to grow and expand their reach to additional member entities. I bring my consulting experience and knowledge of technology integration in parking and transit operations to the leadership team. My experience working with public and private universities, municipalities, and private corporate campuses gives me a broad perspective on the many similarities and important differences between our member institutions.
