Mark E. Hairr has served as Director of Parking and Transit Services for the University of Tennessee at Knoxville since 2011. Mark has 25 years of transportation experience covering a broad range of areas including policy, planning, operations and research. Past experience includes serving as Research Program Director for the Center for Energy, Transportation and the Environment at UT Chattanooga, General Manager of Knoxville Area Transit, Policy Analyst with the City of Knoxville and Assistant City Planner with the City of Gatlinburg. Mark has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from UNC Charlotte and a Master of Science Degree in Urban Planning from the University of Tennessee. He also serves on the Knoxville Transportation Authority and is a member of the International Parking Institute. Mark earned his CAPP in 2017.
