Brent Matthews is the Director of Parking and Special Projects for the Chattanooga Area Regional Area Transportation Authority, (CARTA). He assumed his position at CARTA in January 2011. Brent also oversees the Chattanooga Parking Authority. Brent has ten years parking experience with a large parking operator. Brent is a member of the International Parking Institute (IPI) and is a 2013 CAPP graduate. Brent serves on the  Education and Development Committee for IPI. Brent has served as the  President of the Downtown Chamber Council and also served on the City  Transportation Board. Brent currently serves on the Riverfront Business  Group. Brent is a member of the 2011-2012 Leadership of Chattanooga class. Brent has served on the MSTPA board for 7 years and has  completed two terms as President. In his spare time he enjoys coaching fastpitch softball and basketball.
